titleOfInvention | Manufacturing procedure for peat like soil improving substance from waste paper |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing white peat-like soil conditioners from waste paper by means of a hydromechanical treatment with subsequent drying at high temperatures.n n n There are processes in which waste paper or paper sludge is enriched with nutrients and then partially dried and used as soil improvement or fertilizer or as a mulch layer on the soil. The mulch layer should protect the soil from drying out or serve as fire protection. Since the paper is not dimensionally stable due to a lack of thermal treatment and rots quickly, it cannot replace peat as a physical soil additive and as the basis for plant soil.n n n Waste paper cannot be used for a known hydrolysis process because of the lack of structural stability.n n n In the method according to the invention, the waste paper is subjected to a mild hydromechanical treatment and then dried at high temperatures around 200 ° C. The structure of the product is very similar to that of white peat, and its effect is even superior. |
