The invention relates to a phenolic resin.n n n The resin is liquid, contains condensates of phenol-formaldehyde, formaldehyde-urea and phenol-formaldehyde-amine, and has a level of free formaldehyde less than 3%, the rate being expressed in total weight of liquid, and dilutability at l water, at 20 ° C, greater than or equal to 1000%. The resin is, moreover, heat stable.n n n Application to less polluting sizing compositions for mineral fibers; and use of said fibers thus glued for the manufacture of insulating products and soilless growing substrates. |
