The process comprises the following steps: (A) Preparation of a precondensation product by reaction - With a phenol-formaldehyde condensation product - formaldehyde, - urea and Trimethyloltrimethylene triamine, (B) first post-condensation of the precondensation product at elevated temperature and (C) second post-condensation of the condensation product obtained in step B at elevated temperature with the addition of urea and phenol-formaldehyde condensation product.
