Process for the in situ detoxification of groundwater contaminated by polluting compounds such as: nitrates, pesticides, chlorinated solvents, pyralenes, mineral oils, various anthropogenic organochemical compounds, characterized by confinement in part of the aquifer, by production of hydraulic gradients, of a reaction zone (AB) inside which are controlled at the same time the presence of microorganisms able to breathe, under anoxic regime, nitrates, sulfates or other sources of covalent oxygen, and able to cometabolize the toxic organic compounds to be eliminated, the presence of such a covalent oxygen source, and the presence of a degradable carbon source. |
