abstract |
A novel technique is disclosed for the immobilization of plant cells on a support. The cells are deposited on a surface of fibrous support which provides for strong binding of plant tissue biomass growing in the submerged culture. Specifically the plant cells are immobilised onto the surface of a fibrous support comprising a multiplicity of loosely bound polyester and/or cellulosic fibres by simple contact of the support with a suspension of the plant cells in a culture medium. |
