The invention relates to novel quinoline derivatives containing a free amine function and having antimalarial properties, in particular new derivatives of primaquine or their addition salts with acids. According to the invention, these new derivatives are represented schematically by the formula: PQ - X in which PQ represents quinolines containing a free amine function and having antimalarial properties, in particular primaquine; X represents an amino acid or a peptide of 2 to 4 amino acids; and the PQ-X bond being a covalent peptide bond between the free amine group of PQ and the carboxylic group of X, the amino acid or the first amino acid of the peptide linked to PQ being chosen from natural amino acids or their derivatives other than L-leucine. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition which contains, as active principle, the new derivatives or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. |
