An anti-inflammatory analgesic adhesive preparation comprises a flexible support having laminated thereon a pressure-sensitive adhesive material layer, preferably acrylic based, which contains (a) a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesic agent in salt form (e.g. tolmetrin sodium, fenoprofen calcium, sodium meclofenamate, amfenac sodium, zomepirac sodium, loxoprofen sodium and aluminum flufenamate) and (ii) an organic acid (e.g. citric, succinic or tartaric).Preferred amounts are 5-100 parts of acid per part by wt of the agent, and 1-40% by wt of agent of the material or 20-1600 µg/cm2 area. The agent and acid can be added to an organic solution of an acrylic adhesive. The preparation allows excellent percutaneous absorption of the agent. |
