abstract Addition compounds suitable as dispersants, obtainable by reacting polyisocyanates with an average functionality of 2.5 to 6 with monohydroxy compounds, reacting the reaction product obtained with compounds of the formula II wherein E represents -OH, -NH z and / or -NHR (wherein R represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms) and n represents 2 or 3, and G represents an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and / or aromatic group, and further reaction of the reaction product thus obtained with compounds of formula III wherein Q represents -OH, -NH 2 , -NHR (where R represents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms) or -SH and Z represents a group which contains at least one nitrogen-containing basic group. The invention also relates to processes for the preparation of these addition compounds, then n n Use and powdery or fibrous solids to be incorporated into liquid systems which are coated with these dispersants.
