Compounds of the formula n nwherein Z₁ is pyridinyl or imidazolyl; X₁ is -(CH₂) n -, -O-, n-S-, -SO-, -SO₂, -CH₂-O-, -O-CH₂-, -CH₂-NR₃-, n-NR₃-CH₂-, -CHOH- or -CO-; Y₁ is -O- or -S-; R₂ is nH, C₁₋₃ alkyl, phenyl or optionally esterified carboxyl; R₇ is H, nCH₂OH, optionally esterified carboxyl, CN, aminomethyl, naminocarbonyl, CHO or a ketone; either R₉ and R₁₂ are nindependently selected from hydrogen, hydroxy, C₁₋₄ alkyl, nfluorine, chlorine, bromine and methoxy, or R₉ and R₁₂ are nattached to adjacent carbon atoms and together are n-O-CH₂-O-; n represents a single bond (in which case the comnpound may be in enantiomeric or racemic form) or a double nbond; and m and n are 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4. These compounds can ninhibit TXA₂ synthetase. |
