abstract The present invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of plasminogen activator.n n n It is a process for the separation of a tissue activator from plasminogen, characterized in that it comprises at least the steps: - of selective adsorption of said activator on a specific affinity support consisting of soluble fragments of fibrin attached covalently on an insoluble matrix; and - elution of the activator from the fibrin carrying the adsorbed activator.n n n The plasminogen activator obtained is useful for the prevention and treatment of thrombosis.
