Process for the preparation of imidazolidine derivatives of the general formula <IMAGE> in which X is imino or oxygen and R is substituted phenyl of the formula <IMAGE>, where R¹ is halogen or CF3, R² is hydrogen, halogen or CF3 and R³ is hydrogen or halogen, characterized in that a compound of the general formula R-NH-R <4> II with a compound of the general formula <IMAGE> wherein in formulas II and III one R <4> is hydrogen and the other R <4> is a COOR <5> group where R <5> is optionally substituted phenyl and R is the same as above, to a compound of the general formula <IMAGE> wherein R is the same as above, and, if desired, the latter compound is converted into a hydantoin compound of the general formula <IMAGE> wherein R means the same as above, hydrolyzed. The end products are antiandrogenic and some also have a schistosomicide effect. |
