Use of thermoplastic masses based on chlorinated polyolefins for the manufacture of medical devices and medical devices obtained thereby |
abstract |
The invention relates to a thermoplastic composition for the production of medical devices which come into contact with parenteral liquids, with the characteristic that they consist of 50-99.5 parts by weight of chlorinated polyolefin with a chlorine content of 15-45% by weight and an average molecular weight of 30,000 - 300,000 and consists of 0.5 - 50 parts by weight of polymers of acrylic and or methacrylic acid esters.n n n The correspondingly manufactured devices have a low permeability to gases and micro-orangisms. The water vapor permeability is also low; however, it can be set within certain limits. |
