abstract In the present invention proposed compositions containing substituted amines, as wash solutions for gas purification from acidic impurities and methods of using these compositions in an industrial system. The invention relates to the use of these compounds in industrial processes for the removal of acidic pollutants from natural and industrial gas streams, such as natural gas, gas formed by combustion products, synthesis gas, biogas and other industrial gas streams. Compositions and methods according to the invention can be applied to the removal, absorption or sequestration of acidic contaminants and sulfide impurities, including CO, HS, RSH, CS, COS and SO.
