titleOfInvention Process for the production of PVC formulations with very low Shore hardness
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of PVC formulations having very low Shore hardness in which the vinyl chloride polymer prepared by the suspension polymerisation process is blended, optionally in the presence of further additives, with from 130 to 250 parts of plasticiser per 100 parts of vinyl chloride polymer in such a way that from 20 to 50 % by weight of the amount of plasticiser is first premixed with the vinyl chloride polymer in a high-speed mixer up to a temperature of 110 DEG C and the remainder of the plasticiser is subsequently added continuously, the temperature of the mixture being set at from 100 to 170 DEG C, characterised in that the vinyl chloride polymer prepared by the suspension polymerisation process has a K value, measured in accordance with DIN 53726, of at least 95 and the plasticiser take-up, measured in accordance with DIN 53417, is at least 30%.
