titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PHENYLALANINE-FREE DIETETIC IN DRAGEE OR TABLET FORM |
abstract | According to the invention, the amino acid-based phenylalanine free dietary product for persons suffering from phenylketonurie, especially children and adults as well as pregnant women comprises, besides L-amino acids, possibly carbohydrates, mineral substances, trace elements and/or vitamins and at least one fatty substance. The process for obtaining said dietary product consists in blending in water said L-amino acids, the mineral substances and/or trace elements possibly present and at least one fatty substance which serves as an emulsifying agent, in spray drying the moisture fraction contained therein, in blending the obtained mass with a fatty substance which serves as a parting compound, in converting the mixture obtained into pill or tablet cores and coating said cores with a protective layer or pill covering. A part of the carbohydrates possibly present can already be added to the moisture fraction. The remainder of the carbohydrates is blended with said moisture fraction, the latter preferably serving as a carrier fora blend of vitamins which can also be blended therewith. The dietary product according to the invention is a food supplement. |
