Agent to increase the stress tolerance of agricultural crops and of forests esp. towards abiotic stresses contains, as active ingredient, a combination of choline chloride (I) and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine (II) this last opt. in the form of its salts with mineral acids. The wt. ratio of components (I):(II) is 1:0.05-0.5. The agent also contains conventional auxiliaries and carriers. USE/ADVANTAGE - The combination of (I) and (II) is synergistic and increases the general stress tolerance of crops and trees, esp. towards abiotic stresses such as drought, salts, heat and cold and pollutants in air and water. The agent can be prepd. economically and is toxicologically acceptable. The agent also ensures good quality of the harvest even in years of no stress factors and causes no redn. in yields, improves the resistance of plants and reduces attack by pests. |
