abstract |
The invention relates to a metal foil laminated with a film of copolyester resin. It consists in laminating a biaxially oriented film of copolyester resin onto either or both faces of a metal foil coated with a single layer of hydrated chromium oxide or with a double layer comprising a bottom layer of metallic chromium and a top layer of hydrated chromium oxide, which has been heated to a temperature of from Tm-50 DEG C to Tm, Tm representing the melting point of the said film of copolyester resin. Application: production of metal cans undergoing new heating for crosslinking the varnish or alternatively undergoing a hot steam treatment for sterilisation. |
