titleOfInvention | DEVICE FOR TESTING THE BLOOD ALCOHOL CONTENT |
abstract | In an apparatus for testing the blood alcohol content with the aid of a test substance which responds to alcohol and is to be exposed to the respiratory air and which is accommodated in a translucent to transparent tube into which the respiratory air is blown, the intention is to make very accurate determination of the blood alcohol content possible by blowing the respiratory air into a tube, it being possible, however, to use this apparatus several times, and the apparatus being finally designed such that it displays its inability to function further itself. This is achieved by the test substance consisting of a shaped article composed of equal parts of CrO3 (chromium(VI) oxide), BrO2, PbO2, Fe2O3 and FeS2, the tube being closable at both ends by closure caps, and a collection bag for the respiratory air blown through the tube being connectable to one of the ends of the tube. |
