titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SENSITIVE MATERIALS AGAINST ELECTROMAGNETIC AND BODY RADIATION
abstract Registration materials which are sensitive to electromagnetic and corpuscular radiation consist of a transparent substrate with successively deposited layers of (a) a semiconductor material, (b) an interlayer which is inert w.r.t. the semiconductor layer, and (c) a metal layer which under the influence of electromagnetic or corpuscular radiation reacts with the semiconductor layer to form a reaction prod. whose chemical and physical properties are different to those of the metal or semiconductor >=layers. After depositing the metal layer, the material is treated at a temp. >=the diffusion temp. of the material of the interlayer into >=1 of the bordering layers and the treatment is continued for a period sufficient to dissolve part of the interlayer. The prods. are useful memory and video registration materials having a high contrast and in which the semiconductor layer is protected against external mechanical influences such as contamination by dust particles and scratching.
