Guanidine derivs have formulae (I), (II) and (III). Acid addn. salts are included. A, B = 2-8C alkylene; D = single bond, -CO- or opt. substd 1-6C alkylene; E = H, lower alkyl, aralkyl or opt. substd. aryl; m = 1-6; n = 0-6; R<1>= H, lower alkyl or -(AO)m-(BO)n-D-E; -(AO)m-(BO)n-D-E = hydroxyethyl if R<1> = Me; l = 1-10; G = H, OH, COOH, SO3H or a phosphoric acid gp; one of R<2>, R<3> and R<4> is OH and the others are H. |
