Prodn. of complex, multi-enzyme, storage-stable reaction mixt. (A) comprises combining in aq. soln.: (1) a natural or artificial, enzymatically active protein mixt., (2) reaction components and (3) a stabiliser (I) that: (a) does not affect, or increases, reactive capacity of the multi-enzyme system and (b) protects unstable reaction components against loss of biological activity during the process of stabilisation and storage. The mixt. is opt. frozen, vacuum dried and opt. overlayered with inert gas or mineral oil for storage at 0-10 deg C (not overlaid) or 20-30 deg C (if overlaid). The amt. of (I) required to increases activity of the mixt. is equiv. to that required to stabilise it. |
