The invention relates to a filter system (1) for a room care appliance, in which a second filter (5a, 5b, 5c) bears against the filter surface of the first filter (2) in at least one intermediate space (4) of a first filter (2) second filter (5a, 5b, 5c) comprises at least one polymer material. The invention further relates to methods which make it possible to produce such a filter system (1).
