titleOfInvention | Method for detecting perfluorinated surfactants |
abstract | In a method for the preferably quantitative detection of perfluorinated surfactants (PFT), which are contained in particular in wastewaters, sewage sludge and the like, the perfluorinated surfactant is first brought together in solution or suspension with at least one chromophore or at least one at least one chromophore compound and the thus obtained interaction product between perfluorinated surfactant and chromophore determined photometrically. The perfluorinated surfactant is preferably the perfluorinated alkyl sulfonate perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS). Preferably, the interaction product between perfluorinated surfactant and chromophore for the photometric determination is converted into an organic phase. |
