The use of hydroxybenzoic acid amides of the formula (I) is described. in which R 1 to R 5 independently of one another denote hydrogen, hydroxyl, methoxy or ethoxy, with the proviso that at least one of the radicals R 1 to R 5 is hydroxyl, and R 6 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and n is 1 or 2, their salts and their mixtures, to mask or reduce the unpleasant taste impression of an unpleasant tasting substance. |
