titleOfInvention Tetrahydrocarbazole Derivatives as Ligands for G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCR)
abstract The present invention provides new tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives which act as ligands for G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR), particularly as gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonists. A pharmaceutical composition containing these new tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives and a method for producing the new tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives are also provided. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the administration of tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives for the treatment of GPCR-mediated disease states, in particular for the inhibition of GnRH, in mammals, in particular humans, which require such administration, and the use of tetrahydrocarbazole derivatives for the production of a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of disease states mediated by GPCR, in particular for the inhibition of GnRH.
