titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PREPARING NEW 5-AZIDO-4-HALOGEN-2 (5H) -URANONES
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel 5-azido-4-halo-2 (5H) -furanones which are used as intermediates for the preparation of crop protection agents and as starting compounds for the preparation of 4,5-diazido-2 (5H) - furanones are suitable. In accordance with the object and object of the invention to provide a technically simple and economic method for the synthesis of these compounds based on readily available starting materials, 4,5-dihalogeno-2 (5H) -furanones with sodium azide are in accordance with the invention in polar or dipolar aprotic solvents reacted in the temperature range of 10 to 20C.
