titleOfInvention | PREPARATION OF ALUMINUM OXIDE-CONTAINING BALLENFUL CATALYSTORS FOR ISOMERIZATION |
abstract | The aim of the process for the preparation of spherical catalysts for the isomerization of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons is to process precipitated alumina hydrogels above pH 7.5 to spherical particles of high porosity and toughness, which in combination with platinum give excellent isomerization catalysts. The peptization of an alumina hydrogel is carried out in two stages, wherein in the first stage a hydrogel containing mainly boehmite with a basic salt-forming acid in the molar ratio acid / hydrogel of 0.05 to 0.25 at room temperature in a Hydrosol I low dispersitaet and Viskositaet In the second stage, the hydrosol I is converted into a hydrosol II by heating to a temperature of 323 to 423 K and heating until the desired degree of dispersity is reached. The hydrosol II is formed with the addition of finely ground, solid mordenite by dropping into a coagulation medium to spherical particles, which are thermally treated in a conventional manner and impregnated with platinum. |
