abstract | A lycopene beta-cyclase gene and a coding protein and application thereof, relating to the application of a PyLCYB protein and a coding gene thereof in the metabolism of purple seaweed carotenoids. The nucleotide sequence of the gene of the invention is shown in a sequence table Seq ID No:1 or a polynucleotide sequence which has more than 80 percent of homology with the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1 of the sequence table and codes the protein with the same function. The amino acid sequence is shown in a sequence table Seq ID No: 2 or represented by Seq ID No: 2 is substituted, deleted or added by one or more amino acid residues and has the amino acid sequence similar to that of Seq ID No: 2, and the amino acid residue sequence has the same activity. It is used in the genetic engineering of purple seaweed carotenoid metabolism. |
