abstract The invention relates to the technical fields of biotechnology and plant genetic engineering, and discloses an efficient single-base editing system OsSpCas9-eCDA and its application. The single base editing system OsSpCas9-eCDA can cut the plant genome and has: (a) the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID No: 1; or (b) the nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 1 A nucleotide sequence in which one or a few nucleotides have been substituted, deleted, or added to the acid sequence and which are still capable of splicing the plant genome. The single-base editing system OsSpCas9-eCDA provided by the present invention can efficiently perform single-base editing from C/G to T/A in plants, especially rice.
