abstract Novel co-polyimide precursors for preparing polyimides with high transparency are disclosed. The copolymer-polyimide precursor contains a unit structure represented by general formula (A1) and a unit structure represented by general formula (A2). In the general formula (A1), R 1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group; R 2 and R 3 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C 1-6 alkyl group, or a C 3-9 alkyl silyl group , and in the general formula (A2), R 4 represents a hydrogen atom or C 1-4 alkyl; R 5 and R 6 independently represent hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl, or C 3-9 alkyl silane group; X is a tetravalent group, except for groups represented by formula (A3).
