abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for preparing RAFT, ATRP or NMRP functionalized thin film composite (TFC) polyamide membranes on microporous substrates. Another aspect of the present invention is the subsequent modification of thin film composite polyamide membranes by controlled free radical polymerization (CFRP) to obtain membranes with novel chemical and physical properties such as antifouling and/or antimicrobial properties. Other aspects of the invention are the functionalized thin film composite (TFC) polyamide membranes themselves and membranes modified by controlled free radical polymerization on microporous substrates. |
