abstract A PROCEDURE FOR THE PREPARATION OF NEW ACYLES FROM IMIDAZOLE-5-CARBONIC ACID DERIVATIVES OF GENERAL FORMULA: In which R1 represents optionally a straight-chain alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, iodine or CF3 and R3 is C1 -C10-alkyl, C3-C7-cycloalkyl or benzyl groups, as well as their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, which in step a) a compound of formula in which R1, R2 and R3 have the meanings given above, reacts with a compound of formula in which X represents chlorine, bromine or iodine a --- S protecting triphenylmethyl group, and the thus obtained compound of formula in which R1, R2, R3 and --- S have the above meaning, is heated in step b) with a lower aliphatic alcohol and the compound thus obtained of formula (I) which, due to its amorphous character, does not normally crystallize as required with inorganic or organic bases into a pharmaceutically acceptable salt.
