The invention relates to certain monoalkyl esters of fumaric acid as salts or free acids, alone or in combination with dialkyl fumarate for the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions for use in transplantation medicine, in particular for the treatment, alleviation or suppression of host-versus-graft reactions. Monoalkyl esters of fumaric acid can also be used for this purpose in combination with conventional transplantation preparations and immunosuppressive agents, in particular cyclosporins. alone or combined with a dialkyl fumarate only, for producing pharmaceutical preparations for use in transplant medicine, especially for treating, mitigating or suppressing host-versus-graft reactions. The fumaric acid monoalkyl esters can also be used for this purpose in conjunction with the preparations traditionally used in transplant medicine and with immunosuppressants such as cyclosporins in particular. |
