abstract | PROCESS FOR OBTAINING PROANTOCYANIDOL BY EXTRACTION FROM GRAIN SEEDS - The process for producing proanthocyanidol is based on the extraction of grape seeds with ethyl acetate with the addition of water, which ensures good mass transfer within the plant tissue, since ethyl acetate is a difficult to penetrate tissue as an aprotic solvent. In addition, ethyl acetate achieves substantially selective extraction of flavan-3-ol monomers, dimers and trimers, characterized by good bioavailability and good effect in the prophylaxis and therapy of arteriosclerosis and other diseases caused by the increased presence of free radicals. After extraction and concentration of the extract by evaporation by a simple precipitation process using non-polar solvents, the proanthocyanidols are separated in the form of a fine powder. |
