abstract A system and method for communication using movement of a person's eye as shown in the figure. The system includes an emitter (32) for directing light at the eye, and a sensor (33) for detecting light from the emitter and a processor (140) for converting sequential light intensity signal from the sensor into a stream of data or for converting the signals into a message. A radio frequency transmitter (152) transmits the data to a remote location (154) which may store the data, display a message or control a piece of equipment (170).
