abstract Plants are disclosed which are produced by the method of supplying polyamino acids, particularly polyaspartic acids, to the root zone or through foliar mechanisms. The plants of the invention demonstrate improved plant growth characteristics when compared to those not grown in the presence of polyaspartic acid, including, but not limited to: root growth, seedling vigor, increased yield, and early maturity.
