A novel human polypeptide. Because of having an effect of inhibiting the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells, this polypeptide is applicable to the treatment of diseases in which abnormal smooth muscle proliferation participates, for example, arteriosclerosis and myoma. Moreover, this polypeptide has hematopoietic cell regulatory activity, tissue forming/repairing activity, activin/inhibin activity, chemotactic/chemokinetic activity, blood coagulating and thrombotic activity, receptor/ligand activity, etc. Thus, it seems useful in preventing and/or treating various diseases. |
