Proteins having immunomodulatory activity and remedies for immunological diseases |
abstract |
Proteins represented by the following general formula (1) which have an immunomodulatory activity: X-Y-Z, wherein X represents an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or 2; and Y and Z are each nil or represents an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1 or 2. Because of originating in worms and having the immunomodulatory activity, the above proteins are usable as remedies for various immunological diseases. Moreover, these proteins have an activity of nonspecifically promoting the production of IgE, which makes them usable in treating various allergic diseases too. |
