abstract |
A process for producing a polyalkylene oxide at a high polymerization rate and a high efficiency; a polymerization catalyst and a dispersion thereof both effective in processes for producing polymers such as the polyalkylene oxide; fine organometallic particles useful as the polymerization catalyst, etc.; and a process for producing the particles. An aliphatic polyol or the like is reacted with an organometallic compound using micells as places for the reaction to prepare ultrafine particles. The ultrafine particles are used as a catalyst for the polymerization of monomers capable of ionic polymerization and consisting mainly of a cyclic ether. |
