abstract A method is disclosed for bonding and creating load transfer capability across a joint (14) between two adjacent concrete members, such as roadway slabs (1, 8), concrete pipes (101, 102), and post and beam supports (110, 112). A slot (16a-16f) is cut perpendicular to the joint and extends into each of the adjoining concrete members. The slot and joint are then integrally filled with polymer concrete (50) to tie the slabs together. A joint tie (31) may be placed in the slot and encased by the polymer concrete when bonding and creating load transfer capability.
