titleOfInvention Unique identifier for biological samples
abstract The present invention provides a method for internal labelling of a biological sample by which the sample is identifiably linked to its source and other relevant information, based on the polymorphisms inherent in the sample itself. A set of polymorphisms in the sample is detected, and the resulting data is used as a unique identifier which is then used to identify the sample. This unique identifier can also be used to identify the source of the sample, and any other relevant information.
