abstract An ultraviolet/infrared absorbent glass comprising basic glass components and coloring ingredients comprising, on the weight basis, 0.2 to 0.55 % total iron oxides (T-Fe2O3) in terms of Fe2O3, 0.01 to 0.08 % (excluding 0.08 %) FeO, 0.8 to 2 % CeO2, 0 to 0.003 % CoO, and 0 to 1.5 % TiO2, provided that the FeO in terms of Fe2O3 accounts for 5 to 25 % (excluding 25 %) of the T-Fe2O3; a glass plate which is constituted of the glass and has a visible light transmittance of 80 % or higher, a sunlight transmittance of 83 % or lower, and an ultraviolet transmittance of 17.5 % or lower; a coated glass plate obtained by coating the surface of the glass plate with a colored film which comprises silicon oxide and fine gold particles and has a thickness of 30 to 300 nm; and a window glass for vehicles which comprises two or more glass plates bonded to each other and wherein at least one is the coated glass plate.
