abstract The invention concerns a recombinant viral vector in whose genome are inserted the sequences coding for at least a polypeptide for inhibiting or delaying the binding of an immunodeficiency virus to a target cell and/or the penetration of said virus into said cell, said viral vector not being an adenovirus vector in whose genome is inserted the DNAc coding for the murine RANTES. It also concerns an infectious viral particle, a host cell and a pharmaceutical composition comprising said vector, viral particle or host cell. It further concerns a method for preparing such an infectious viral particle. Finally, it concerns the therapeutic or prophylactic use of a viral vector, a viral particle, a host cell, an adenovirus vector expressing the murine RANTES and a plasmid vector comprising the sequences coding for at least a polypeptide for inhibiting or delaying the binding of an immunodeficiency virus to a target cell and/or the penetration of said virus into said cell, for preparing a medicine for the treatment immunodeficiency-related diseases using gene therapy.
