titleOfInvention Epidermal cell growth activating material
abstract A novel epidermal cell growth activating material capable of not only permitting human and mammalian epidermal cells to be efficiently adhered to and grown on the surface of a baseplate but also promoting the adhesion between the cells themselves so as to form a planar layer. This material comprises a material containing silk fibroin of type α or one exhibiting an X-ray diffraction pattern of α-helix. It is remarkably excellent in the fundamental requirements for epidermal cell activation, such as cell adherence rate and growth, adhesion between cells themselves, and extensibility of cell layer.
