abstract |
The invention provides new difluorinated η-tri-substituted silylpropargyl phosphonates and methods for their use to generate a variety of diverse fluorine-containing compounds. The new fluorinated phosphonate synthons contain a novel juxtaposition of four different functional groups: fluoro, alkynyl, tri-substituted silyl, and phosphonato groups. The latter three of these groups provide convenient handles for the construction of fluorine-containing organic molecules. |
