abstract | This invention provides an air freshener dispenser device which as a combustible taper strand feature. The taper strand consists of a cellulosic matrix, such as cotton or rayon yarn, which has a content of a chemically-bond air freshener constituent such as geraniol, citronellal or menthol. The linkage between the air freshener and cellulosic matrix can be an ether or carbonate ester covalent bond. When the taper strand is ignited, it burns with a slow smolder-type combustion, and there is a controlled release of the air freshener constituent into the atmosphere. |
