titleOfInvention Pressurized container for applying pressure to a flexible bag filled with a medical fluid and housed in the container
abstract The invention relates to a pressurized container (10) for applying pressure to a flexible bag (36) filled with a medical fluid and housed in said container so as to draw the fluid from the flexible bag (36). The container comprises a housing (12) which has an opening for introducing the bag (36), as well as a lid (14) for covering the opening, an opening to enable a fluid drainage line (38) of the bag (36) to exit from the pressurized container (10) and a seal for tightly connecting the lid (14) and housing (12). To simplify construction and handling the invention provides for the housing (12) to be configured as an upright, hollow cylindrical body (16) which is sealed at the bottom and open to the top and the cross-section of which has a flat oval shape and roughly corresponds to the cross-sectional outline of a bag (36). The invention further provides for the two opposite, upright side walls (20, 22) having large surfaces each symmetrically to have the form of a section of a cylinder jacket, the lateral ends of which are joined by connecting segments (24, 26).
