| abstract |
A method for forming a wheel tire on a wheel rim includes a mold device having a mold cavity for receiving the wheel rim and for forming a peripheral chamber between the wheel rim and the mold device. A rubber material is melted and pressed into the peripheral chamber for forming the wheel tire on the outer peripheral portion of the wheel rim. The wheel rim has a number of openings for receiving the material and for increasing the strength of the wheel tire. The mold device includes an upper mold for pressing the rubber material into the peripheral chamber. |
