A process for producing 3-alkenylcephem compounds represented by general formula (3) characterized in that an iodination reagent, an alkali metal hydroxide or carbonate, an arylphosphine, and an aldehyde represented by the general formula (2): R4-CHO are caused to simultaneously act on a 3-chloromethylcephem compound represented by general formula (1) to thereby produce the target compound in one step, wherein R?1, R2, R3 and R4¿ are each as defined in the description. |
