abstract The invention relates to a device and a method for influencing the aroma and taste of food and beverages, specially of distillates and wines. The invention includes a tube section (10, 10') made of a conducting material which can be impinged upon on the inside by the food or beverage. The outside of said tube section is encompassed by a metal wire wound to form a spiral shape with open ends. One embodiment of the invention provides for a substantially plate-like housing (10') made of a conducting material which can be impinged upon on the outside by the food or beverage and optionally containing a metal wire (12) which is wound around a carrying element (38) on the inside and provided with open ends.
